Alert: Solar Action at CPUC Thursday, March 17

(03/2022) This week is the one-year anniversary of the date that the state’s monopoly utilities publicly launched their attack on rooftop solar in California.

Following a public outcry from pro-solar and pro-community-power advocates, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) announced in early February that it will revise its deeply-flawed proposed decision on the state’s Net Metering policy.

Since that announcement, however, Governor Newsom and his CPUC have been silent on what they plan to do next, and by when. Now is the time to hold them accountable to ensuring that solar technologies are accessible to everyone, especially low income and working families.

Two ways you can help this Thursday, March 17th:

1. Solar Rally on the steps of the CPUC
If you are able, join us for a Solar Rally on the steps of the CPUC, 505 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco on March 17th at 9 AM. (map)

2. Call in Remotely
If you cannot join in person, please call-in to the CPUC meeting at 10 AM on March 17th, to make a public comment. Here are the instructions.
