Recap from the Local Clean Energy Alliance Annual Picnic

It was one of the best LCEA BBQ picnics! On September 15, over 50 of our friends and allies came out for a great Local Clean Energy Alliance picnic. Our program started with an amazing performance by the famed movement singer and songwriter Bonnie Lockhart. One of the songs that we sang along with Bonnie was about Growin’ Public Power: “Big Oil can’t keep burnin’/ We got the tide a’turnin’/ Growin’, growin’, growin’ public power!” The sing-along was followed by a fun trivia about Local Clean Energy Alliance’s projects.

The event was also a successful fundraiser. Right now we are seeking sustained annual or monthly contributions to make sure we can keep doing our work putting justice at the center of the renewable energy transition. Building a movement for a just, people-centered renewable energy economy requires organizers and people power. Every dollar donated goes a long way towards advancing this work, so please consider giving today!
