Overwhelmed by all the energy policy that occurs without public input or awareness?? Curious about learning, contributing or intervening in the energy policy development process?? Women's Energy Matters (WEM) is holding a workshop this week, October 6th, 2010, to educate the public about how to participate as a public interest party in California Public Utilities Commission proceedings.
The workshop will cover the basics of participation including a discussion of who decides California energy policy issues; an introduction to the Rules of Practice and Procedure, the Public Utilities Code, research tools including data requests, and intervener compensation. The workshop will also provide information about opportunities to become involved with efforts of WEM. This event is free and open to all members of the public, but please RSVP to Barbara George.
