Conference Organizer/Coordinator
The Local Clean Energy Alliance (LCEA), the Bay Area's largest clean energy coalition, with some 90 affiliated member organizations, including environmental justice, social justice, environmental, business, and community groups, seeks a motivated and organized part-time consultant to assist with our upcoming fifth Clean Power, Healthy Communities conference. The conference, scheduled for March 2015, is a one-day event that draws about 150 local participants and a national webcast audience.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience on energy policy advocacy while providing needed assistance with our conference organizing efforts. A major part of the work is soliciting conference sponsorships, which are used to fund the Organizer/Coordinator position.
The consultant has the option to work out of our host organization, Bay Localize, in downtown Oakland. The consultant will collaborate with the LCEA Coordinator for a period of about six months, starting September 1, and is slated to work 20 hours/week.
