Resilience Hubs Listening Sessions: Oakland, Stockton, and More!

Local Clean Energy Alliance, along with Emerald Cities Collaborative, and our longtime and new community partners, hosted several community listening sessions. These listening sessions brought community based organizations, places of worship, community health organizations and city officials together in the same space.

Our virtual, Oakland, and Stockton-based listening sessions had an amazing turnout, and we had a rich discussion on community resilience and energy justice.

Through our discussions, we created a community-led definition of resilience hubs and discussed what resilience hubs currently provide for our communities. We also talked about how they could be better supported through comprehensive funding and resources from our local Community Choice Energy Agency known as Ava Community Energy.

Thank you so much to our community partners — Asian Pacific Environmental Network, Lincoln Recreation Center, Friends of Lincoln Square Park and Little Manila Rising — for working with us and hosting such amazing events.

Stay tuned for more conversations in the Fall!
